Jay Chisolm grew up in Brooklyn NY with a passion for music. As a child, he played several instruments including drums, piano and saxophone. Jay played for his church, and as an adult, he played professionally, with drums being his favorite. He attended school with an interest in electro-mechanical engineering but after having a son, he chose to prioritize fatherhood. His family owned houses with tenants, so Jay became familiar with basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry and minor electric repairs.
Jay has worked a variety of jobs in addition to his work as a musician. He spent time as a veterinary technician, a NY City bus operator, and a truck driver. After moving to the Carolinas, his construction experience grew with a variety of jobs. When visiting his wife’s family in Hollywood, he appreciated the space and tranquility that came with being away from the big city and decided to move into this area. We are so fortunate to have Jay join us as our maintenance technician to help us keep Hallie Hill beautiful and running smoothly!
