Erinne Scarborough

Erinne Scarborough

Erinne Scarborough hails from Knoxville, Tenn. She is University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s in Animal Science from the College of Agriculture. She moved to Charleston in 1991. While working as a groom for the City of Charleston Mounted Patrol Unit in Hampton Park, she met her husband, who was a mounted patrol officer. She has devoted her life to the ditch (and ditched) dogs on Wadmalaw and surrounding islands and any unwanteds she could get to come home with her.  Over the years, her primary focus has been in the endless pipeline of equine rescue.

Her family was enticed along for the ride. Adapting to and adopting the mindset of giving back to the creatures that in return for safety, comfort, full bellies and love give us so much more in return. She has two young adult children who are following their paths of furthering their educations. She is looking forward to adding to and continuing to be an integral part of the Hallie Hill Animal Sanctuary Mission.
