Volunteer Spotlights: June 2018

Volunteer Spotlights: June 2018

We love our volunteers! Shout-out to Margaret & Noah Preuss for their dedication and time spent at Hallie Hill this month.

Margaret Graham

Margaret is great with the animals, but this month she was a hit with the humans too! She prepared, delivered and served a birthday lunch for HHAS staff and volunteers in honor of Daisy and Lynn’s birthdays! The food was absolutely fantastic and the carrot cake was ‘to die for’! Thank you Margaret for your kind heart, your devotion to HH and, of course, your culinary expertise!

Noah Preuss

From fundraising for materials through installation, Noah Preuss did it all! Exposing dogs to steps is a crucial step in preparing them for adoption, and Hallie had no way to do this! Noah came to the rescue and made steps for Hallie Hill as his Eagle Scout Project! He fundraised by making and selling dog treats, and by petitioning Lowes for support! He bought the materials, built the steps at home, brought them to Hallie and assembled them there, with the help of Troop 484! They are fantastic! Thank you Noah!

Bridge Run For Their Lives

Bridge Run For Their Lives

This event is a “Peer to Peer” fundraiser meaning everyone who donates has the option of inviting their friends and colleagues to donate too! Our easy to use site allows participants to simply donate, join a team or start their own. Each team member can design their own web page to spread the word (through email or Facebook) encouraging support for their team and getting others to donate to the animals at Hallie Hill. So if you have a lot of contacts on your email list, or a lot of Facebook friends, consider joining a team for a pawsome cause! And best of all- you don’t have to run the bridge! Each team only needs one person participating in the Bridge Run on April 7th!
