Adoption Agreement

Veterinary Care: I promise to take this cat/dog to a licensed veterinarian at least once a year and/or as often as recommended for necessary vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and overall health check-ups.Daily Care & Well-being: I promise to provide this cat/dog with safe shelter, proper nutrition, fresh water daily, appropriate exercise, and regular grooming. I also agree that this pet will not be allowed to roam freely.Rehoming Commitment: If I am ever unable or unwilling to continue caring for the pet, I will make every effort to responsibly rehome the pet or return it to Hallie Hill, rather than surrendering it to a municipal shelter.Responsibility & Assumption of Costs: I acknowledge that Hallie Hill cannot guarantee the ongoing health or temperament of this pet. From the date of this agreement forward, I assume full responsibility for all expenses related to the pet’s care and well-being.Follow-Up & Welfare Checks: I understand that Hallie Hill may follow up by phone or email to ensure the terms of this agreement are being met. This may include checking with my veterinarian or requesting a home visit. Efforts will always be made to contact me prior to any in-person visit."Right to Reclaim: If I violate any terms of this agreement, Hallie Hill has the right to reclaim the animal immediately. I understand this agreement exists to protect the well-being of the pet and the adoptive family, and I will provide the best care possible.Non-Refundable Contributions: I understand that any payment or contribution made during or after adoption is non-refundable, as it is used to cover the costs of medical care and other expenses for animals at the sanctuary."
