Clayton and Mosey Mae on a Dog Daycation

Clayton and Mosey Mae on a Dog Daycation

Clayton and Mosey Mae are worn out after returning from their Dog Daycations!

Clayton trucked around town to Meggett Park and saw horses before headed to Tanger Outlets for a pupcup at Starbucks. After plenty of pets from strangers, Clayton was off to Sportsman Warehouse for some birthday shopping.

Mosey also trucked around town! First stopping at Serenity Park where she refused to retrace her steps. We think she can read as she pooped at the poop station.  Mosey enjoyed the fresh air, sniffing, and walking around with her companion.

Overall, an excellent day on the town for our two beloved friends, Clayton and Mosey Mae. A dear thank you to their companions for the special day.

September’s Adorable Adoptables

September’s Adorable Adoptables

Welcome these adorable animals below to Hallie Hill and they are up for adoption this September. Fill out an application to come out to HHAS to meet these wonderful animals! Hallie Hill conducts meet + greets and adoptions by appointment only.

Hunter

Hunter is a spirited and charming boy who adores life to the fullest! He’s very friendly with other dogs and enjoys swimming in the sanctuary’s pond.  Hunter is a very sweet boy who is always ready for playtime. Hunter can feel a bit anxious around new canine friends but he warms up beautifully as time goes by. Excitement can make him slightly ‘mouthy,’ but he responds well to a ‘sit’ command followed by a delicious treat. Visit halliehill.com and apply today to meet Hunter.

Marvin

Marvin is a wonderful dog of small to medium size who interacts well with other dogs. Unfortunately, Marvin feels very insecure when visiting new places and meeting new people. As a result, he does not appreciate long walks in unfamiliar areas or having visitors in his home. After Marvin becomes comfortable with his new home and family, he may attempt to bite those that he does not recognize as “family members.” Therefore, it’s necessary to place him in a separate room or kennel when expecting visitors. To arrange a meeting with Marvin, please submit an application at HallieHill.com.

Marci

Marcie is a charming Tortoiseshell cat who does not seek out other cats, but will tolerate their presence. She has a fondness for treats and canned food and enjoys affection from her human companions. To arrange a meeting with Marcie, please submit an application at HallieHill.com.

LeeAnn

LeeAnn is a charming girl with a lot to express. She’s quite vocal, perhaps longing for a warm home filled with love and care. Her favorite time is mealtime, and she’s always happy to finish off leftovers from her companions. Her fur is remarkably soft, and she has a way of melting into you when you pet her. For those who adore hounds, LeeAnn is sure to capture your heart! To arrange a meeting with LeeAnn, please submit an application at HallieHill.com.

We are so appreciative of the opportunity to highlight our adoptable animals, and to invite the people of Charleston to support Hallie Hill’s mission of rewriting their futures!

New at the Sanctuary- Dog Daycations!

New at the Sanctuary- Dog Daycations!

We’re excited to introduce our new “Dog Daycations” program, where our shelter dogs and volunteers get to enjoy a fun-filled day together. Volunteers can take a shelter dog out for an adventure, whether it’s a stroll in the park, a refreshing swim, or other enjoyable activities. This initiative not only gives our dogs a delightful break from the shelter environment but also offers volunteers a rewarding experience of companionship and joy.
Enrichment is a wonderful thing for a shelter animal and having the opportunity to participate in new experiences and explore the world is the most valuable kind of enrichment (unless it’s getting their very own home!) The dogs learn A LOT and we learn A LOT about the dogs! It’s a WIN-WIN. Become a Tier 3 Volunteer and go on a Dog Daycation! You’ll be glad you did!

Check out what our volunteers have to say about their experiences with our “Dog Daycations” program and get to know some of our wonderful dogs! Read their heartwarming stories and see how these special outings have created unforgettable moments and strengthened the bond between our shelter dogs and their human companions.
